INTERNATIONAL ROCKETRY WEEK IRW2007 (LARGS, SCOTLAND)

The IRW event was a fantastic event for me. I managed at last to launch my large IRIS for the second time and get my level 3 certification

The rocket was flown on a core Hypertek M1010 and 2 x I285 outboard solid motors ignited at lift off.

My Dad, my son and I arrived at the Kelburn Center near Largs on the Wednesday. The weather was great and looked like it might hold off for the launch.

Image below is of my son's illfated Wizard on another level 1 attempt. This time the nos cone ripped off along with the chute. The delay on the motor was way too long. This was it's last flight.

The image below shows my son David with the retrived Patriot rocket. This is one of my oldest rockets and first flew back at the 1997 IRW event. This flight was on a J330.
